Climate of Madhya Pradesh


Madhya Pradesh has a subtropical climate with a hot dry summer (April–June), followed by monsoon rains (July–September) and a cool and relatively dry winter (December to February).

Climate of MP is heavily influenced by the "Tropic of Cancer" that passes through the state. Due to "Tropic of Cancer", the climate of MP is highly variable.

In other words, the eastern parts of MP are hotter than the western parts.

In the state, winters and rainy seasons are very short, while summers are comparatively long.
