Climate of Rajasthan
The climate of Rajasthan keeps varying throughout the state. Generally arid or semi-arid and features fairly hot temperatures over the year with extreme temperatures in both summer and winter.
In the desert areas, it is usually hot and dry in summer and cold during the winters. Coming to the Aravali range, to the west, both rainfall and humidity are low. While to the east, weather can be characterized by high humidity and better rainfall.
Summer in Rajasthan begins from March. The climate remains dry and hot during summer seasons and the temperature gradually rises in the month of April, May and June.
A maximum temperature of 45°C is experienced in the major part of the state consisting of arid west and semi-arid mid-west in June.
Winter in Rajasthan lasts from November to February and is the best time to visit Rajasthan.
During this season the temperature ranges between 10 degrees and 27 degrees Celsius.
