Kerala is conveniently accessible by air. Kerala state has 4 operational International airports with flights to domestic and international destinations as of 2019 and is the only Indian state having 4 international airports along with Tamil Nadu.

The airports have several carriers operating international flights around the world.

There are 20 to 25 international carriers offering flights to Kerala. How to Reach Kerala BY RAIL


Indian Railways operates several trains to and from Kerala. More than 500 plus trains connect Kerala to all parts of India, including long-haul direct train services to cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Cochin is well connected to all the major railway stations in India. Most of the Kerala bound trains have a stop at either of the two railway stations in Cochin – Ernakulam Town Station and Ernakulam Junction Station.

How to Reach Kerala By Road


Kerala is connected with National Highways 17, 47 and 49 with neighbouring as well as other states of the country. It can also be easily accessed from the neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

There are regular buses available to and from Mangalore, Mysore and Bangalore in Karnataka; and Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai and Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu.

The major city of Kochi has a good transport to Munnar; Thrissur, another important destination.

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is a state-owned road transport corporation of Kerala. It is one of the country's oldest state-run public bus transport services. The corporation is divided into three zones (South, Central and North), and its headquarters is in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram.
