The palace was later regarded as an exquisite museum housing old coins, beautiful paintings, arms and amours, manuscripts, etc. The museum depicts the rich history of the Sikh province and is a much recommended visit in the city of Amritsar.
Durgaina Mandir: - also known as Lakshmi Narayan Temple, is a Hindu temple in the city of Amritsar. Resembling the architecture of the Golden Temple, this temple also has dome and a tank, both of which are considered sacred by the Hindu followers. Constructed by Guru Harsai Mal Kapoor, this temple is dedicated to Hindu Goddess Durga.Besides; idols of Lord Krishna and Lord Vishnu are also enshrined in the temple. Located near the Lohgarh gate in Amritsar, this temple is sometimes called Silver temple, due to its carved silver doors.
